» Website Marketing & page rankings

The following article outlines three major elements to optimize your Page Ranking in Major Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo Search, and MSN Search. While you can get by with just traditional advertising, or just SEO, or just Pay-Per-Click Campaigns, each of these methods compliments the others.

1. A Well Built Website. Realty Impressions builds each site using descriptive titles, headers, and content. Each Client’s website is optimized with specific keywords for each individual website. For maximum effectiveness, our Pre-Designed websites and Semi-Custom websites come pre-installed with our "Website Administrator" so you can keep your content fresh and up-to-date which can help entice search engines to crawl your website more often. Writing new content and updating your website is especially helpful for Realtors in competitive markets.
2. Links to Your Site. Having a well built 'Search Engine Optimized' website is essential, however, it is only half of the equation when it comes to obtaining high search engine rankings. The following is broken into two parts, both are equally important in obtaining higher Page Rankings.
Link Building. Not only is Link Building a quick and affordable method to advertise your company and services, it is essential in building your search engine page ranking. Search Engines detect how many links are linking to your site and base your ranking on the quantity and quality of the links. Therefore, exchanging links with mortgage partners, mortgage appraisers, and all other local area websites that pertain to your business is an important tool in getting your website to climb the page rankings. Realty Impressions websites make it easy to start trading links. Our websites come pre-installed with a Mortgage Partners page, Local Area and Community Links, and an Agents section (for brokers only).
Directories & Search Engines. People often confuse directories and search engines, thinking they're the same. This is not true. Search engines use spiders or robots to index web sites, while directories use people. You don’t have to submit your site to search engines in order for it to find your site and place it in the index for searching, however you do need to submit your website to directories.
In addition to the major directories such as Yahoo, dmoz.org, & goguides.com, there are plenty of mid-range directories and real estate specific directories that will boost your page ranking. All websites designed by Realty Impressions will be added to our Real Estate Directory with a Premium Listing absolutely Free for one year (regularly $50 per year)! Realty Impressions can also assist you with submitting your site and determining which directories would be best to submit your website to. Contact us for a free consultation.
3. Pay-Per-Click Campaigns. Pay-Per-Click (PPC) allows you to advertise in search engines such as Google and Yahoo. The way they work is when a user search's for keywords that you have listed your ad will appear among the other paid advertisements usually across the top or right-hand column of the page. When a user clicks on your ad, they come to your website and you pay for that click. The more you bid against your competitors, the higher your ad will be placed. There are two major PPC services: Google AdWords, owned by Google, and Overture, which is Yahoo's PPC service.
The advantage to using PPC is you only pay when someone clicks on your ad, and your ad is only visible to users who are searching for your keywords. Second, you can setup various versions of your ad and monitor which ones are most effective using PPC precise tracking tools that allow you to measure click and conversion rates for your ads. Once you determine which ads are most effective you can delete the less effective ads. Realty Impressions would be more than happy to either assist you with your PPC campaign or manage one for you.
